Harry Wierenga

Biography

Harry joins PearTree with over 25 years of financial industry experience, along with nearly 10 years’ experience in the philanthropic space. He works closely with Western-based donor clients, their advisors and charitable causes to maximize the impact of their giving.

Harry brings a unique set of skills to his current role gained during many years of philanthropic, leadership and governance experience as a volunteer. He was a Board member and National Treasurer with Kids Help Phone and served as Treasurer, Vice-Chair and Chair of the Board with Mulgrave School in West Vancouver. He also has senior management expertise and profile from leadership positions he held at BMO Financial Group in Toronto and Vancouver in Corporate and Government Banking, Corporate Finance and at BMO Harris Private Banking. Harry most recently was Director, Western Canada for Kids Help Phone, overseeing fundraising for the region.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and holds a CPA-CMA designation with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. In his spare time, Harry enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful outdoors of British Columbia.
