We\u2019re pleased to share how the Liberal platform reinforces and expands policy support for exploration and development\u2014especially in the North\u2014where PearTree continues to play a leading role in unlocking capital for resource advancement, while simultaneously funding worthy causes across the country.<br><br>The Liberal government platform outlines several key commitments aimed at accelerating exploration, improving infrastructure, and expanding access to capital. These directions align closely with PearTree\u2019s mission and capabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some relevant highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Expansion of Tax Incentives:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Critical Mineral Exploration Tax Credit (CMETC)<\/strong> will be broadened to include minerals essential to defence, semiconductors, energy, and clean technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Canadian Exploration Expense (CEE)<\/strong> framework will now cover technical studies\u2014engineering, economic, and feasibility work\u2014making more early-stage critical mineral projects eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Clean Technology Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit<\/strong> will be modified to include development costs at brownfield mine sites and a wider list of priority minerals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>First and Last Mile Fund (FLMF):<\/strong><br>A new fund to connect projects to infrastructure and supply chains\u2014supporting on-site development, refining, and processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Indigenous Partnership Support:<\/strong><br>The Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program will double to $10B, expanding financing opportunities for Indigenous-led infrastructure and mineral development projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Infrastructure Investment:<\/strong><br>A national focus on ports, highways, and energy projects to better connect mineral-rich regions to markets and accelerate project timelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus on Resource Efficiency:<\/strong><br>Investment in both new prospecting and recovery of minerals from end-of-life products like mining waste and batteries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These measures reinforce the government\u2019s intent to position Canada as a global leader in critical mineral development\u2014and ensure that exploration companies have the tools they need to move projects forward.<br><br>As Canada\u2019s leading flow-through share financing platform, PearTree remains fully engaged and well-positioned to help our clients leverage these opportunities with confidence.
